The Hochfeld Group was originally founded in 1941 by Mr E.E Hochfeld, the father of Steve Hochfeld who is currently a consultant. Today we primarily supply feed raw materials and other agricultural products to wholesalers, processors, manufacturers & aid agencies in the Southern African agricultural markets.

Magesh Naidoo
Director
Magesh is the the Son of Thanga Naidoo who is also a Director and current CEO
Thanga Naidoo
CEO and Financial Director
Born and schooled in Gauteng. Trained as an Accountant through Unisa. She has worked in Human Resources, Stock reconciliations, Debtors, Creditors, Cash Book, General Ledger up to balance sheet with supporting schedules, Computer systems analysis, Computer Development, Computer Reporting, Cash Flow control, Forex Management and general business.

Thanga has worked for Hochfeld Grains in various capacities for 39 years and is today the Financial Director and CEO of the company. She has an in-depth knowledge of the financial and administrative aspects of the grain industry and is active in promoting sales and marketing in her current position. She has strong negotiation skills and believes in honesty, integrity and consistency in terms of ensuring the best value and service delivered. She is strong in interpersonal skills and manages her team fairly and consistently.
Steve Hochfeld
Consultant
Steve has been involved in imports and exports since 1965. In 2003 Steve began a series of training courses for traders, importers and exporters. These have been well received and are expanding. Steve is a recognised RSA Grains Arbitrator and has been involved in redrafting the standard SA Grain Contract SAGOS 9, to include the AFSA Arbitration rules. Steve is a recognised AFSA Arbitrator and Mediator, specialising in the Grain and Agricultural industries
Emmanuel Madondo
Trader
Born and schooled in Zimbabwe, studied for Undergraduate and Post Graduate degrees at UKZN in South Africa, specialising In Marketing and Finance. He started his business career as a Brand consultant at Draft FCB. Joined Hochfeld Grains in 2010 in Logistics and Contract Execution. He trades both locally and internationally, focusing mainly on Feed Raw Materials, Grains, Pulses and Jute Goods.

He believes in optimal service delivery and exceptional customer and stakeholder skills, the ability to identify problems and be creative in problem solving.
Malcolm Boyle
Trader
Born and schooled in Gauteng. Started his career as a Junior Agricultural Trader in 2004. Worked at various trading firms and joined Hochfeld Grains in 2018.

Current a traded in both locally and internationally (within Sub-Saharan Africa), focusing mainly on Feed Raw Materials, Grains, and Pulses. He has a passion for deal making, and enjoys developing long term, mutually beneficial relationships with his clients. He believes in consistency in terms of ensuring the best value and service delivery to his clients and has strong marketing skills, which is a key component in our ever-changing, fast paced trading environment.
